The Young Disciples Project works with mainly African Caribbean young people and addresses gang culture and social exclusion through group work

It was established in 2001 by March Edwards, to engage hard to reach young people from a socially excluded background.

Their objectives are to:

Provide Provide a quality and innovative service to young people at risk

Provide a platform for a community led advocacy strategy

Inform the public and government agencies on gang culture

Challenge the boundaries of local and government action

Reaching young people categorised as 'hard to reach'
