Tower Hamlets Council, Department for Children, Schools and Families.
Who is it aimed at?
An initiative to extend the maximum age for kids in foster care from 18 to 21.
How does it work?
Right2bCared4 is a pilot project aiming to give children in foster care the ability to stay in the care system until he or she is 21 if it is deemed necessary. This is under the belief that staying under care till the age of 18 is not long enough for many children. Right2bCared for additionally wants to give children greater say in whether they are under care till 18 or are moved into their own flat or hostel.
