Essex Young People Alcohol and Drug Services (EYPDAS)
The service works with young people up to the age of 19 across Essex who are affected by substance use either their own or their significant others.
Providing advice, support and information alongside a range of services, their aim is primarily to support young people and to keep them safe from harm while they work through their problems. They also work with the communities of Essex to help reduce and prevent usage of illegal drugs and alcohol, minimise their harm, treat and rehabilitate users, reduce related offending and crime, and thereby to make a significant contribution to community well being.
Services include a telephone helpline
during office hours and also support for families. They have an assessment
and counseling team and work with young people in the criminal justice
system.
